Newbee question- what should with?

I just bought a new to me 27wp Cherokee wolf pack toy hauler and I have a 2015 f150 4x4 5.0, what's your opinion good or bad?
  • What is GVW of the 5er you''re wanting to tow...not dry or empty weight, but actual GVW? That is a more realistic weight to use to determine if your truck is capable..Take 20% of 5er's GVW to figure how much pin weight you'll be putting in the bed of your truck..

I'd also want E rated tires on the truck, especially the rear, instead of P rated tires...P rated tires weight rating probably too low for 5er pin weight.

If I was a tow truck driver I would say you made a wise choice.

The information is out there, all you have to do is let it in.
  • Here's the link to the Ford F150 2015 towing guide. It will tell you what THEY say the capacity is. You didn't mention wheelbase and that makes a difference too. Hope this helps.

  • That is the one I've bought and I did buy a weight distribution hitch and only hauling a 600lbs motorcycle.
  • what's your opinion I'm not sure what you looking for as far as an answer. Bitchen rig I'd agree you well not be happy going up hills.
  • I was only able to find your trailer on a site selling a used one. But here is the trailer with the specs Wolf Pack

You may be ok, but you won't be setting any speed records. If I were towing a lot, I would get a 3/4 ton at least.
  • Likely going to exceed your trucks towing ratings if your planning to carry toys in the garage
