Not sure I want the washer/dryer combo

FWIW...We find that we travel with WAY LESS clothes, now that we have the W/D. Just don't need to get a week or two before hitting the laundromat.

FWIW I purchased the stackables almost used for $550 for the pair. They were in the boxes never used. Bought from an assisted living community that owned a few too many and needed the room in their storage room. When I was shopping I wouldn't have considered a used combo unit for more than $400. For that price, if I already owned it, I'd probably just keep it. Not to mention the value of not having to deal with flakey folks that say the'll be there at 1pm with cash and never show up.

Do like the thought of waiting or clock watching or hitting the start button and then going about your day?

We have that combo in our fiver. We do not full time either. We do spend a couple of weeks at the ocean each summer do between 12-15 weekend trips. I could not imagine being at the ocean with the washer/dryer. My wife uses it every time we are out as there are always wet towels to dry.

If I had room for it in our coach, I would gladly take it off your hands.
We had one in the fifth wheel we lived in for a couple years, and it was just simply GREAT!!
However, there just isn't any place to put it, and the shipping from New York would be too expensive.
Oh, well...

If you consider the weight and space that clothes take up, it could offset the w/d combo. Unless you want to go to the laundry every few days, the Splendide really does come in handy.

Wash/Dry and leave the clothes in the dryer til you need them. Or in the past, we've used the washer to hold dirty clothes instead of having a hamper take up space until I went to do laundry. As (dirty) working full-timers, I'm lost without my separate washer and dryer.

My DW didn't want the W/D combination because they were too small and I didn't want them because of the added weight.

I am just a weekend camper I purchased a Splendide combo for $250.00 on Craigslist.
They generally sell used for $400-$500.

I watched the add for a few months and made an offer. The seller was just looking to unload the unit which had been sitting in the garage for a couple of years.
I do not use the unit very often but for the price I could not pass it up

Glad to see the question asked, as we, too, picked up a Designer in October equipped with a Splendide vented W/D, and had much the same question. We're two or three years from retirement, so our use now is for long weekends and a couple of two-week trips each summer. In the end, we elected to keep it. May have value for those unexpected emergencies like the one mentioned by Dtaylor above, and could provide very useful for those longer trips. Too many folks have commented about how they value them for us to just dump it on the used market.
