Power Ramp Lift

I remember when I use to get Toy Hauler Magazine they had a advertiser that sold a power lift for your Toy Hauler Ramp. The operator could ride his bike on the ramp and with a remote lift the ramp and then ride on a level surface. Can't seem to find that product? Anybody know of the manufacturer?

I've got the optional Party ramp and the specs say it'll hold 1500 pounds worth of partying people. Seems a bike wouldn't stress it.

GT Roach, are you referring to Lippert putting on a ride-on type ramp lift? The OP was talking about riding on to the ramp and then lifting it to horizontal and finish riding into the toyhauler. Yours does this? Is there any issue with the strength of the door in the middle with a vehicle on it?

Lippert makes the one I put in my toy hauler. I paid about $550 plus labor to have it installed. The weak spot on mine was where the bracket attached to the floor the floor needed quite a bit of reinforcing meaning a 1/4 inch plate had to be welded to two frame members otherwise it was starting to break the chip board floor. That was three years ago and no more problems. While it is a bit slower than manually lifting it is so much easier. This unit was an option on some of the high end Fuzion 5ers and some other big toy haulers.

Thanks for that I found it about the same time. I think they are out of business..

RPT Ramp Lift
That was by Race Trailer Products, but as I recall from looking a few years ago RPT was defunct.

I don't know that I'd want to do that with most ramps. With no support in the middle there could be issues with the door bending. I suppose if the door were strong enough it would work, but I'll have to admit I've never seen one in use or even advertized. My first thought is "No Way".

Are you having trouble getting it up the ramp and over the hump? What kind of vehicle are you planning on using? Or are using now?

Maybe I'm just having negative thoughts and some others will come on with some more positive vibes. ๐Ÿ™‚
