Bought a Heartland Torque 325 toyhauler today.Love it! fingers crossed it performs great for us and we only have little problems with it. Only can hope :)We moved fast on this buy. Traded a 2013 Wilcat 5'ver. Hubby was chomping at the bit to get rid of the wildcat and get a hauler. So we took the plunge.got it home today. gonna goof around with it and take it back for install of the genny and a few extras I want added (extra D rings etc).The genny was a pain. Info got all confusing on it. We did get the Onan 5.5 EVAP but only can run gas right now. the conversion package needed to make it run on propane can only be purchased by a certified Onan mechanic and the guy at this place isn't certified. ugh. So we got the EVAP put it, will take it to camping world in the future cause the service guy there is Onan certified and we can get the conversion package put on it. but will do that later. no hurry.The fun of having a new rv is priceless :)can't get a trip out until Oct. 18 when we hit the beach for 4 days. work schedule/school schedule is hampering us right now darn it.So official toyhauler owner here.

CONGRATULATIONS!I am picking mine up tomorrow! I can't wait. We also got the Onan 5.5 EVAP but didn't know there was an LP conversion! I will be checking into that. Do you recall how much that addition cost?

I have to call camping world and chat with them about this. at least right now I can run on gas without problems, but I do want that conversion package. service guy says the EVAP runs on both propane or gas so I figure down the road I will have that installed. I THINK he said it should not be that expensive to do this but will call and check.

Why do you want to run on propane?

I once had a RV w/gen that ran on propane.it was always a toss up what I needed more..The genny or the propane for cooking and the fridge when dry camping. Been real happy now with TH and gas gens. Never a worry about propane anymore.

If you store it at home, camp in it for a few nights, using the applicances and everything just like you would on a trip - this will be a "shakedown" trip to make sure everything works right.

If it doesn't have LEDs on the interior, upgrade to LEDs for reduced battery consumption.

Back in 2009 when I first switched to LEDs, in my Desert Fox toy hauler, I got the LEDs from www.ledtrailerlights.com
They've been in business a long time and aren't going away any time soon. They also have a lifetime warranty.

So far we love it. We are getting things back into it and on Monday it goes back to the service dept to have the genny installed. I had step lights installed on both sets, having the bigger handle holds installed on both doors (it only comes with those little handles and we like the big ones for gripping), and having a AC installed in the toyhauler part. the 2 ducts back there isn't enough. it stays hot so since DD gets that as her room, we are going for it and installing a 3rd ac.

on Oct. 18 we leave for our first trip in it to the beach.

After that trip I can give a real review on this bad boy :)

What leaned me to the Torque was the half bath for DD. It gives her a contained queen bed/bath room. that sold us. And it was the smallest we could find with that floorplan. I went out and bought myself a kayak I have been wanting. Now I can haul that easily.

Congrats! You most likely will have some bugs just like every other rig so don't get discouraged.

I figured it was a good 'option' to have installed 'just in case'

of course no 'just in case' will probably ever happen, but I think since I got a duel running gen, gas or propane, why not be rigged for both?

eh, you know right now, with just gas I am happy, but down the road a conversion will probably be added. at this point will just see the usage of it and how it works out.

edited to say--THANKS for the congrats. We are thrilled with it. spend last night just hanging around in it, turning on lights and checking it out. It was fun :)

You will not like the propane, they are not very efficient and you will use up your propane real quickly, I would save the $$ and stay with the gas.
