Question on the DVD player in the 5th Wheel...

Is this a a DVD that you plugged into the system via RCA jacks or the built in DVD player?

That is it...I am guessing it is wired up correctly??

They forgot to hook up the yellow RCA plug on the output jack in the back of the DVD unit.

I wood pop the unit out and make sure all connection are good.

Are you hooking a DVD player up to this?

is the sound you are getting coming through the RV speakers?

Do you have the TV set to the correct input?

Checked and yellow rca is on the Y. I was hoping when I swiveled the tv out I would find that to be the case...

This player is already mounted and "prewired" to the tv.
Yes the sound is coming through the rv speakers. Not a bad surround sound either.
Yes, it is on Component/AV...
It is going in on the 3rd to repair o couple of other small issues. Hopefully it is just an internal plug in boo-boo problem from the factory. The radio works great, just not one bit of AM reception and we are 50 miles from a HIGH wattage AM station. That does irritate me. I guess the radio does not have an internal antenna built in.

Which TV do you have? Component often refers to a 3 wire component input with separate connections for red, green and blue, marked Y,Pb and Pr. My TV has both the 3 wire component input as well as a separate individual 'Composite' Y input next to the red/white audio inputs.

Your stereo has both a Y video input as well as a Y video output connection. Is it possible the TV is connected to the input rather than the output?

We have the Legend tv... I was hoping the component/AV means what it says... The manual is really not very specific. That is not the way I would have written the manual...
I see where people work on their own issues. Can that void a warranty? We are 50 miles away...

Which model Legend TV do you have? Looking at users manuals it looks like they all have both Component inputs as well as a separate Y Composite video input. You'll need to use the separate Composite input and not the Component.

The Component Y input will be next to connectors labeled Pr and Pb. The Composite Y input would be separate next to R/L audio inputs. Knowing the exact TV model will be easier to figure out the exact connections needed.
