Replacement mattress?

Hi, new to the board. Just did our first trip in our first fiver! Bought it used, it's an 06 with what is probably the original mattress. While clean, that sucker is like sleeping on pokey, bouncy concrete, even with a foam topper on it. What would be a good "inexpensiveish" replacement? Something soft and lightweight!
Thanks for any suggestions!

For those who swapped out the stock mattress, was the replacement (non RV) the same dimensions?

When our slide is in, our current mattress ( King )is tight against the opposite cabinets..

Good point. When we replaced our factory with an 8" we had to mover the headboard up to make the mattress fit. Not a big job, stapled & screwed to the wall.

We went to Sam's .

X2, assuming you are referring to Sam's club.

After two years of full timing with the stock matress with a memory foam topper the mattress broke down too much to be comfortable. Went to Sam's club because they had a sale on their already low prices. A coil spring mattress with memory foam and pillow top normally a little over $500 was only $399.00. 3 1/2 years later still as comfy as the day we bought it!

Our used AF came with a knockoff Sleep Number bed with low quality air chambers that leaked. I replaced it with a "Zinus Responsive Memory Foam 10 Inch / Firm / Universal Comfort Support Mattress, Queen" from Amazon for $240. It's a huge improvement and I expect it to last a long time given the number of times per year it gets used.

I've heard of many folks who have had a positive experience with the Zinus brand of replacement mattress. I have an 8 inch queen size in a wish list on Amazon that I will purchase in the Spring for my 5'er. Price is currently $105.95 for the 8 inch. That seems like a deal any way you slice it.

We love ours. I ordered this one because we prefer a firm mattress and this was the firmest they offered. It's delivered by UPS or FedEx in a surprisingly small box because it's vacuum packed and rolled up. You simply lay it out and cut it out of its bag and it starts inflating instantly. They recommend waiting a couple of days before using. But, it seemed to get to full thickness in just a few hours. We waited anyway. Couldn't be happier with it.

They are cheap and very flexible. I got a high density from softer on one side harder on the other. Look Like an over size sleeping bag wrapped in shrink wrap. Lay on be open and come back in an hour. Wala best RV mattress I have ever had.

Mine is pretty flexible. Would be easy to bend it around a corner.

Don't want to get to far off topic but how hard is it to replace a rv mattress. I have a few tight turns in my fifthwheel

Try one of these, wife & I both have bad backs and love ours. I bought it for my prior 5W and scrapped the cheap mattress in the new 5W to keep it.

When we purchased on current camper we didn't even sleep on the factory matress. We purchased a Sealy Posterpedic and had it delivered and they picked up the factory matress.
