Rubber roof damage

We purchased a Crossroads Cruiser in March and have used it once. This link:

shows damage at the edge where the roof goes from horizontal to vertical. I know it looks like I ran under a tree or something, but the damage is exactly the same on both sides, and I'm not aware of hitting anything. I'm wondering if anyone have seen similar damage and might be able to give me a clue?
  • It looks to me like you tagged something on the way into the campground, and on the way out.

  • Where is it stored? Could something have fallen on it? Definitely been hit one way or the other...

Someone definitely scrubbed it against something hard enough to flatten the aluminum rolled roof panel and wrinkle the rubber! If no tears you are fine otherwise get some eterna bond to tape over it to stop any leakage..JMHO J
  • Were there any scrape marks...black, tan or any color transfer scuffing?
Did you wash this area before you posted the pics?

Awfully clean for having been hit or scraped.

A length of 2" wide Eternabond Tape would be perfect for this kind of repair...as good as new.
  • Thanks to all for the ideas. I did clean it up in preparation for coating it with liquid rubber, which I have now done. I also have some eternabond tape which I will follow up with. It was in the dealer's shop for some repairs, and I now suspect that's where it happened. Of course I can't prove it, so I'll just repair it myself.

    Thanks again to all.
