rubber strip on bedroom slide out

I have a 2008 Palomino Sabre that has a bedroom slideout. The rubber strip that attaches to the trailer has come loose about half way. It looks like this strip somehow hooks on (or snaps on) to a device that is stapled to the rv. I am thinking of 1) stapling this rubber strip to the device; 2)taking it completely off and trying to get it to snap back on; 3) letting the camper repair folks fix it. Any suggestions?
