Staples in roof

I have a Keystone Alpine 2012. The area between the side walls and roof has a piece of flexible plywood to create a rounded look. I have discovered that Keystone used 1/2" staples to attach this and are now beginning to poke through the rubber roof. I made a claim to dealer when trailer was just out of warranty and they said "Keystone will not do anything till they break thru roof.
Well they are through the roof now in about 12 places and I have another 30 that are about to break. Keystone will not assist in any way.
Has anyone else had this problem and what did you do?

    I agree Keystone customer service is truly lacking. I feel this is a design fault that they should take some responsibility for.
    The staples do not hold down the deck and I have been pushing them back in place for over a year. After a few pushes they begin to thin the rubber eventually breaking thru.
    They both should take responsibility for this and maybe correct for the future. I don't expect much but I don't feel they should be let off the hook.

    Some has removed the cover betvin roof and wall pealed back roof instaled skrues and removed staples befor they penetrated roof, Ithink this may be a good way for you to go and then repair with Eternabond.

    That is correct. Some also have success pushing the staples down by hand or with a rubber mallet before they poke thru the rubber, which delays the use of Ethernabond.

    I would think the staples were put there for a reason,the rest of the issue is going to appear shortly whether you put Ethernabond or not.

    It's not only Keystone that uses staples in the area close to the border of the roof and wall. As said before Ethernabond tape is the solution.

    If its limited to a particular area pick up a roll of Eternabond tape and go at it alone. You have to learn to be somewhat resourceful with trailers because holding out hope that the manufacturer or dealer or anyone else is going to make it right will just leave you frustrated. They have your money and don't really care at this point. Keystone also doesn't have a great rep for customer service.
