Supplier for Outrigger??

Finally getting to some of those dangling projects, trying to finish a wheel well rebuild and wall support project. I'm working on a photo library I will share soon in case anyone wants to see just how poor structural decisions can come back to bite the people who buy your products.

My question is: Does anyone know of someplace that actually HAS the Z Outriggers used to support the walls? I've looked in a lot of places and have not found anyone who sells them yet, calling a couple more today. I need roughly 14 of them. Current ones are spaced 44 inch on center, I'm going to cut that number in half most places.

Thanks!
  • A compotent sheet metal shop should be able to bend them up for you if you can draw them up. I think they're about 12-14 gage. The OEM ones are stamped I'm sure but no reason they can't be made on a brake.
  • Thanks Nayther, that will be a last resort but I didn't think about a local sheet metal shop, there are a few. Also an opportunity to over design, maybe at 10ga. I really don't want them to bend anymore.
  • I ended using 5 channel and cutting to size. Definitely stronger than the flimsy factory ones.
