WHY??
They are 100% self supporting. - SlownsyExplorerMy Manuel also states do not use. But then again who ever reads them.
Frank - AllworthExplorer IINo reason. Use the money for beer.
- Miles_AwayExplorerThe photo posted by MILESHUFF looks like they should have been using supports.
We use them on our big living room slide that holds the couch and dinner table. Why? Because it makes me feel all warm & fuzzy, and when I plop my fat butt onto the couch I don't want to worry about it collapsing. Ninety-nine of trailer tire failures occur when you are traveling down the road, not when you are parked, so put that argument in the same category as not using seat-belts because you think you are a good driver. Keep in mind they ARE NOT JACKS, JUST SUPPORTS, SO IF YOU THINK YOU WILL FEEL BETTER USING THEM. GO BUY A SET. They are quick and easy to set up and are not expensive. - mileshuffExplorerA reason why you shouldn't use slide supports.
- GreentreenaExplorerI can see a need if it was being used full time on property.
- fprestoExplorerMy owners manual specifically says to not use them. The risk of serious damage is not worth it.

stop and think what would happen to your slides if the trailer got a flat tire and the slides had supports under them. far more damage than you can afford out of pocket I bet.
Or, you're on dirt and a heavy rain causes the ground to sink. Rare, but can happen.

x2, good point.

The front and back landing gear would prevent that. - sail2livExplorerReg chocks, x chocks, and tripod is all I use.....would never support a slide other as it comes from factory......and always try and have stab jacks and landing gear down when slides are being extended/retracted....course I have seen dealers moving trailer around their lots with slides extended....wow, glad mine was not treated that way....unless the delivery truck guy did it....good luck....
