Hello Folks!We have decided to keep our 2011 37ft Cameo for what while longer, but would like to make some improvements. We are discussing upgrading from 7k to 8k axles, swapping to disc brake, and going with the independent suspension upgrade. We have heard great things about Moryde and the solutions they offer.Could you share a few ideas ando perspectives with us please?Safe travels!

Do it right! Go with the MORRyde 8k IS suspension!!!

And while your there, have them upgrade to the disc brake system...Those upgrade are both worth every penny you will spend. Call Gary, and he will tell you all the specifics... 8K IS, AND disc brakes :B. The only thing missing is USA Timken Bearings ! ! !I know TX is a good way away, but make a trip of it, we did and it was great, BOTH times we had it done.

Just a thought but as nice as independent suspension is, & expensive, maybe an upgrade on the spring stack can be as assuring.Builders go with minimums, especially on stuff you can't see easily. My Alpenlite, 11,500# dry wt & Lippert framed, came with 6 leaf spring packs. A couple years ago I upgraded to 7 leaf packs. Much more assuring when all loaded up.

The IS should be right around $3500.00... and the disc conversion should run just under $3000.00 . . . NIGHT AND DAY difference with BOTH additions....

I had called them about a triple axle setup with 8K and IS with disc brakes. They told me $8750 parts and labor plus tax so I'm guessing maybe a 1/3 off of that would be a pretty close estimate. I also got to keep my old setup to sell if I wanted it. If your not setting level that would also be the time to adjust that.

tomthyme, If you like your unit and plan on keeping it.... Go for it. Upgrade axles, go MorRyde, and disc brakes. You'll "really" like your unit after mod's. memtb

They can also fix it so that your trailer runs level if that is a problem for you.

Maybe you have never had the IS on a trailer, it tows like it is on rails. Anyone saving money by not buying a brand new trailer has the $$ to step up to the IS.
