Sill wondering about the....belt?..:h
.
Probably just needs to be tightened a notch.
Has you fiver lost weight recently? ;) - azchuckmoExploreronce you get the fan exposed squirt a little bit of WD40 on the motor, this should correct the problem.
- tvman44ExplorerAgree with the fan, but what belt??
- Old-BiscuitExplorer IIIOn front of the cover panel should be slots for air.......behind that area will be a fan.
Fan is used to provide cooling air to converter.....they get hot
Fan is squealing.
Clean it up, blow it out with can of compressed air.....replace if necessary. - DtankExplorerHVAC's reply is spot on.

. - Golden_HVACExplorerYou are probably better off replacing the fan with the bad bearing. Lube is only a very short term fix. A new fan is only about $20 and will solve the problem for many years!
You will need to start by disassembly of the electrical compartment to the point that you find a converter/charger. It should have a fan on one end, and that needs to go someplace like Radio Shack or Grainger.com to compare your set up with what they have for sale. Pick something the same voltage and nearly the same size.
Good luck!
