Transeagle 14ply tires

I don't think you can do any better than Goodyear Endurance!! ST tires don't really have to meet many regulations..........so many are junk!!

Are Endurance G rated?

During the summer of 2020 I unfortunately had 2 blowouts within 20 miles of each other. Without going into long-winded details, I ended up having to stop in a small rural town to buy 4 new tires. The tire dealer said he had the Transeagles in stock and it was the tire all the farmers/ranchers requested for their livestock trailers. I really had no choice but to buy them. They are MUCH heavier than the tires that I had. They have been excellent tires so far and I would not hesitate buying them again. pm me if you have any questions.

ps. My TPMS saved me from a lot of damage to the trailer.

Yes they are and also they are made in the USA and are not considered "China bombs" like so many other ST brands

I believe you can get G rated in certain sizes. Check with your dealer. These tires are available through special order at WalMart now.

We have the Goodyear Endurance tires which came on our Pinnacle now but really want to go to a G rated tire.

Looking at Jayco website shows the '22 Pinnacle 36 FBTS same trailer you have now has 17.5" H load range tires.

What was Jayco thinking when they selected a load range E 80 psi tire for a big 16500 lb trailer. Especially a Endurance with those thin 8/32" of tread depth.

The Transeagle ST load G are another all steel ply carcass commercial grade tire. These plus several other brands of all steel ply commercial grade ST tires are made in china but beat any made in the USA tires for reliability in this class.
Now load C/D/E poly carcass ST tires aren't in the same class so they don't compare well at all.

As long as your present wheels are rated for 110 psi and 4400 lbs IMO its a good move considering your present tires.

OK your RV came with the best tire out there and you want to change??? Please explain why. Are you over the tires capacity? Have you weighed your axles? What tire size do you have now?

Let's put it this way your tire dealer wants to sell you what makes him the most money.

Here is a chart for the GY ENDURANCE line.

The ST255/85 R16 "E" has a MAX rating of 4,080# @ 80psi. It also has a 87 mph speed rating.

First thing what the HE!! does the tread depth have to do with the tires capacity?

Let's do some math. Let's assume a minimal 20% pin that would mean 13,200# on the axles. Take that by 4 and the per tire load is 3,300#. The ST 255/85 R16 has a rating of 4,080# @ 80psi. I think a 780# cushion is plenty.

GY intentionally built the tire with 8/32" tread dept to keep the tire running cooler and they determined most RVers will age out their tires well before they wear them out.

I run them on my Boat trailer and 4 years and well over 20k they still have plenty of tread left.

You always are thinking Commercial and i understand that.
