Tries to stay away from

So I have been reading the tire threads and I'm getting more lost then I was before...

So If I'm not mistaken I should avoid.

China tires.
ST tires.
Goodyear Marathon.

I have a fairly light Jaco 5th wheel, so G and bigger tires are not needed.

I only have 225 75R15D tires, I think I will find a decent Lt tire and enjoy.

    How old? As I said before the newest China build should prove far better.
    Also easier to beat up on a top seller vs the low volume brands.

    I monitor a number of RV websites, and I cannot tell you the common tire brands that have daily comments about peeling treads.

    Today, an owner commented on a Goodyear Marathon with 2 tires fail the same day. They're just not the trailer tire they once was. And RV tires do serious, serious damage to the bodies when they fail.

    When it comes to ST tires, the Goodyear G614's, Kumho 857's and the Maxxis M8008's are the only really good ones. Unfortunately I only see the Kumhos in 14" sizes for bass boats. The M8008's are available in most wheel diameters, and commonly available.

    Both of those are D range, not E range.

    Beware, what you have been reading is a lot of personal opinions and biases from a lot of tire expert wannabes that don't have a clue as to what caused their tire failures.

    Goodyear Wrangler LT215/75-15 D @2095 lbs
    LT235/75-15 C @ 1985 lbs in several favorite USA brands.

    These tire's have been very popular with replacing lower rated 215/75-15" ST and higher rated 205 and 215 in 14" ST tires for many years.

    If you keep the trailer a 16" LT will run a long time at any speed you want. If you go with the LT235/85R16/E's and you trade up like we did, take the tires with you to the new trailer. By the way those BFG's I bought in Sep 09 were replaced June this year. Almost a full 5 years of service. A little over 2 years each on both the Jayco and the Mountaineer. 2 of them are now on a friend’s farm truck.

    So if you have a 460lbs difference the spring on that wheel is weak or the tire is underinflated compared to the rest. If the trailer is loaded light from side to side then that side will be lower within 20-40lbs, with the trailer frame level front to rear weights should 100+/-. How did you get the individual wheel numbers to begin with?
