Trouble fitting four bikes into new garage

My previous Toy Hauler was a Weekend Warrior FS2600. It didn't have a garage space and the cargo loading area was smaller than the 12+" garage on my newer Elevation. However, the Weekend Warrior had better placement for the D Rings. The anchor points were in each of the corners and then more sets in the middle.

The D Rings in my Elevation's garage are grouped in the middle of the space. Instead of putting them at the front of the garage and at the back by the ramp, the six tie downs are two feet or so closer to the center on both ends, giving me a smaller cargo area. This isn't usually a problem for two dirt bikes when it's just my wife and I, but this weekend two of our kids are joining us and I need to fit in two more bikes. I could fit five bikes in my old WW, but I'm not sure how to fit four in this nicer Elevation.

I don't really want to install e-track since our kids don't ride with us much anymore. I suppose I could do it eventually, but I won't have time before Thanksgiving. For now I need to do my best with the factory anchors.

Any ideas?

If I put two in forwards and scoot their rear wheels out towards the walls, this will give me more side-to-side space to roll one in backwards, but I don't think I can fit one more in that way.

Thoughts?

that's the one I like too. I built something similar a LONG time ago for my first TH,then they came out with these and everybody said I should have patented mine! I do like how easy these are to put in/take out; mine takes two bolts and two eyebolts. It does bolt to the frame as well via some speed nuts.

I ended up going with the Bolt-it-on/Beast Rack. Awesome guys to work with. It's actually a father/son business. They custom cut the main rail for me and I picked it up at his house after work.
For tie down points, I didn't trust pulling hard on the stock eye bolts that only use the floor wood. I drilled two holes in between the fender wells. These go through the frame rails for a more secure tie-down point. I put two bikes facing backwards with the rear tires in the kitchen with the other two facing forward with the rears at the ramp. This is a 2100 FK setup.

before e track i'd go with one of the pre-made tie down rack systems, just my .02. I hate putting holes in the floor

Great job Dave, about what I had in mind. Side supports is a good idea. I agree about the eTrack, hard to keep clean. Safe travels and happy camping!

Here's what we ended up with. I'll probably get some e-track in the future, but I don't like the idea of adding a gutter to catch all the dirt.

I use the Beast Racks http://beastracks.com/store/index.php?main_page=index, which is the same product as the Bolt It On.
They have extended chocks so the handlebars can be offset on alternating bikes. Might still have to back in alternating bikes.

Too late for you for Thanksgiving. Get a 2x4, put some eye bolts in it, attach it to the existing floor D-rings, put the bikes in sideways with the tires up against the wall.

how about sideways? alternating direction?

or mount cheap harbor freight wheel chocks on plywood and then tie down bars and pegs.

New to the forum, new to trailers. I also have four bikes and will have to be a bit creative fitting them into my 2005 WW Superlite 2100FK. I'm going with this: http://www.boltiton.com/wp-site/ Not sure if the four-bike setup will work, may go with two, and have the bikes back-to-back. Not cheap, but they look like they will fit the bill with little fuss.

Well their facebook page probably gives the answer, "Keep an eye on our website, there are new floorplans and pictures going up!"

Here is a link if it posts to one that could easily be modified to work.

It looks like it bolts together so you could get 2 longer 2x2 alum tubes and space out the racks accordingly.

Based on the tie dn location I seen in a 14 4012, there are 9 tie dn points. With 4 bikes I would take two up front with bike chocks as wide apart as they could go then slide the rear wheels outward then bring the other 2 together up between them using the middle tie dns for the front of the rear bikes as well as the rear of front bikes...just a thought. Another option would be to find an old bicycle rack, I think that one of these would work for dirt bikes, cut it down to use for 3 or even all 4 bikes up front then the 3rd one in the rear position if you couldn't get them all in front.

Your other 2 bikes are small in size. Tie down the 450 and 250 then secure the 230's to those. Cushion the bikes between each other
