The pin stabilizer wasn't meant to stabilize the both ends of the trailer.
Or use the JTs or similar product that stabilizes both ends.
Spot on. I have DIY JT's and when the rear is not tightened you can push on the rear corner and watch the sidewalls flex on the tires. Lots of movement is from the tires. Tightening the rear diagonal brace stops all lateral movement.
