Wash for 5er

Have used a few mobile rv wash services over the yrs.
Different pricing based on different locations.

34' 5th wheel......wash and wax----$200 to $310.

Have done it myself numerous times.
One day to wash/dry
Next full day to wax.
And then 3 days to recoup.....

I use Meguiars or Turtle Wax Liquid Soap and Wax

Thanks! I'll look into the mobile rv wash. It will probably take me forever to do it myself. Plus, I'm vertically challenged. Lol. What kind of rags do you use? Similar to what you'll use on a car?

I use a long handled soft bristle brush and micro fiber cloths

On front cap to loosen all the bugs I place a damp dryer sheet (used ones) over brush and scrub bugs off. The wet dryer sheets loosen bugs right off.

For a dirty awning........
Fully extend it, then with a bleach/water mixture spray both sides of awning down as you roll it up. Then let it sit/soak for 30 mins or so. Then unroll and rinse it off..........done

If its in Vegas there are dozens of mobile wash companies.

If it is being delivered by dealer it is his responsibility to clean.

Just wondering, did you do a walk through, before excepting the 5th wheel.

First wash use dawn dish soap. It will get the crud off. Immediately follow it with Meguiars top of line boat wax. From that point on use Mequiars auto wash soap. Re-wax every 6 months. We have a 44' and it takes me 2 hours to wash and wax the entire thing.

Get a painters pole and standard foam floor mop head. With a bucket of soap wash the entire rig; scrub a section top to bottom and rinse with water. Move steadily around the rig. Should take 20 min. Once back at the beginning use a lightly damped towel wrapped over the mop head to dry. Once back around working top to bottom apply the wax to the mop and mop it on, it can be applied in sun and allowed to dry. Go all the way around again. Finally use the same procedure as drying to wipe the wax off.

You can break the job into two days. I have even left the wax to be wiped off the next day.

What brand and type wax are you using?

I have had mine washed at the truck wash a few times.

Thanks all... My castle arrived last night around 7 pm PST. With everything we had to do to clear the pathway, moving stuff in, along with my excitement, I'm sore and couldn't sleep. I thought I'd read. :)
