What accedssories do i need for a new 5th wheeler?

If new get them to toss in necessary connection devices, Stinky Slinky, fresh water hose. Power cord SHOULD be included, but make sure.
Wheel chocks.

Yes, a good hitch installed.
A good quality water hose
An Adjustable water regulator such as the Valterra A01-1117VP
A good sewer hose kit such as the Camco Rhino 39681
Set of wheel chocks. The BAL model 28010 for example sized to fit your rig.

...that should be a good start ! Ha ! Some here will say these aren't
accessories...you decide.

If I had a do over... I'd put a moratorium of 1 year on any new "accessory"
purchases to get a better feel for the need vs. want
stuff. I bought some gack that I regret...don't be like me.

Not really an accessory, but have him change out the tires to get rid of the China bombs.

Well, you could do what I did. Buy every doo-dad, may need someday, and cheap insurance gadget and fill up your storage bay. Then 10 years from now give away or sell 90% of it.

Be careful with your negotiations, because with most dealers they throw in an accessory package to get you started. Of course you're paying for it as part of the deal, but don't let them BS you into thinking it was your great negotiation skills. The stuff in the package is typically enough to get you started with the essentials. Not highest grade, but good enough to start.

Forget the kingpin stabilizer. You don't need one and few folks use them these days.

I can't think of much that I needed for a fiver, that I didn't already have in my TT. Same basic stuff.

You NEED wedge type wheel chocks. Between the tire chocks are optional and only in addition to the wedges.

Window awnings really help in hot areas.

Generator if you plan to boondock.

It is kind of hard to make suggestions not knowing exactly what new FW you are purchasing. If it has 6-point level up then there are some wheel chock options you may not want, in other words the simple ones work best.

If you have a TT already then I am not sure what else you would need that would be different going to a FW.

Two things we did not let our new FW leave the dealer lot without was built in electrical protection and upgraded tires.

Many new FW models come with cheap tires that are barely rated for the empty weight of the trailer. Many new owners discover after loading 2,000 pounds of supplier and gear to their FW they start blowing these new tires.

These are two options you could ask the dealer about but they are probably not what he is considering assessories.
