Spent 3 hours yesterday tracking down a "gremlin" with the generator. It would start from the remote switch, but not shut off. Local switch worked fine for both start and stop. Lots of poking and prodding with a multimeter, along with some trial and error and wadda ya know?
I found a broken wire.
Ready for tailGATORing !
Glad you found the cause.
Me too, Dave.
I've messed with it several times over the last few months without success, but other than exercising it really haven't used the gen much lately.
It was a PIA to go out, remove the hot Genturi, open the compartment, pull the gen cover off and hit the local switch.
We're planning a trip to Ocala for Thanksgiving Day where we'll be on gen power and then on to Gainesville for Gators vs Noles. The genny will be on and off several times over a 4 day period, so I'm glad I got it done.
