What to use to clean/prepare EPDM roof for Eternabond tape?

Getting ready to use some Eternabond tape and wanted to know what to use to use to clean and prepare area where tape will be placed. According to Eternabond, they recommend acetone or laquer thinne...

I have used laquer thinner and acetone, at different times, to clean the rubber roof of our 96 Southwind before applying Eternabond.

The tape holds well and I have had no problems from the cleaners.

Be sure to use a roller when applying the Eternabond.
