What to use to clean/prepare EPDM roof for Eternabond tape?

Getting ready to use some Eternabond tape and wanted to know what to use to use to clean and prepare area where tape will be placed. According to Eternabond, they recommend acetone or laquer thinne...

Don't pour the solvent on the roof, wet a rag with it and start rubbing immediately as it evaporates rather quickly. I have used both with success. :)
