We tried the tailgater, could never lock on to a sat! We tried 3 different units, no go. Currently have Direct, using a King Quest antenna, Dome auto seek antenna. Only had one problem, trees in the way, we asked to be moved two spots over, and BOOM, picked up our HD programs with no problems! Yes I understand, if I had portable antenna I could have moved the antenna to avoid the trees, but as I said, I did not have any luck with the tailgater. I used to have a stand alone antenna, and was able to pick up any sattilite I wanted. With the tailgater there is nothing to adjust, you "plop" it down and hope it is able to pick up the Satelite! At least with a tripod, and a meter, you can move things around until they line up!
