Will A Fifthwheel Work In This Driveway???

Really no way to tell until you know your clearance above your bedrails. Knowing the driveway is like that you would definately want at least 6 inches between the bed rails and the bottom of the fifth wheel. Once you have that you can try it and if needed get creative. Like puting some boards down to back the trailer onto to reduce the angle.

they told me it would be around 7 to 8 inches between bedside and bottom of camper

My driveway is similar.I needed to add a riser to my hitch to get the clearence I needed between rails.I have 6-7 inches now but get as close as two when backing into driveway.Plenty of space but I wouldve kissed my rails without riser.Luckily I already had riser on prior to attempting to back in driveway.

Best option is to have a backup plan. Someplace else to store the trailer if you try it and it will not work. That way you can take some time to figure out how to make it work.

I think if you knew what fifth you were wanting and knew the distance at the wheels from the ground to the bottom of the skirt you could make a jig of the fifth and figure what you need to know.

You have two points of concern. The angle between the road and the driveway, and the angle at the top of the driveway where it flattens out. You should not have a problem at the bottom. At that point, you will have maximum separation between your bed and the bottom of the FW. The real point of concern is when you're backing up and get up to the top where it levels. At this point, the sides of the bed by the tailgate and the bottom of the fifthwheel come into play. The truck tires will be on the incline, and the FW tires will be on the flat. You should be able to take some basic measurements and calculate how much space you'll need between the FW and the truck when you reach the apex of that point.

Mine is worst that that and I have no interference issues. I can only pull out as it is gravel an my rear wheels only spin pushing 6 tons uphill. My driveway rises 8' from county road to flat spot in front of house in about 50'.

I have a similar steep driveway. No way to compare exactly though. One good thing is that your truck appears to be a short bed which exposes less of the bed to the nose of the trailer. If you are going to have a manual slider hitch, you might consider sliding it back during this parking maneuver. That should push the trailer back even further. That said, I have a Superglide which doesn't give me the manual slideback option. My trailer is ancient and the pinbox is really back compared to the newer trailers. That puts more of the trailer nose over the bed and more exposure. I think you'll be fine. But, take it slow and have someone monitor it.

Much depends on how much bed rail clearance the truck/trailer have.

A short bed truck could especially with a manual sliding hitch.

Know anyone that has a 4x4 rig similar to one your thinking about that would come and give it a try ??

I wish my driveway was that flat, when I back the trailer over the edge of my driveway it is so steep the rear wheels are almost off the ground with all weight on the front wheels. No bed rail clearance issues. But dont perfom this maneuver much and only with trailer empty.

I am guessing that you will be fine and can adjust pinbox/hitch if not.
