Why don't you try camp hosting for a month at a state park?
We camphost in Virginia for 2 months and in Maryland for 1 month. The duties are completely different...in Va, we are required to be there 5 days a week with 2 days off. (It's close to our home, so we just go home on our off days). In MD, you are only required to be there on the weekends and must do 20 hours per week per camping unit. There are 4 of us, so that's only 5 hours of work per week.
PM me if you would like to have the info about MD. It's a great gig and there is lots and lots to do within a 2 hr drive of the campground.
