Your coach and in fact all RV's have 12 voltbatteryes..

You may have one.. Or you may have one made up from 2 six volt batteries

You can also have 2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9, ludicrous number so long as you do nto overload your coach pounds wise. No need to have even number of 12 volt.

And what's more they can all be different sizes or ages..Try to keep them all the same chemistry though (All flooded,Maintenance Free,AGM) since different types need different charge voltages.

But yes you can have 3, or 5 12 volt

And if you have six volt pairs.. Think of EACH PAIR as a SINGLE 12 volt battery.. for that is what it is.

They do need to be wired in a balanced manner. Only method #3 at correctly interconnecting multiple twelve volt batteries will work well.

Others may say it doesn't matter--but unless there is a compelling reason to not optimize charging and discharging why not do it the best possible way?

Here is a video of 3 twelve volt batteries that have been wired in an unbalanced manner for 2 years. They have been equalized. The test shows how CCA has been adversely affected.
