I'd avoid this deal strictly because of the GM/Detroit Fuel Pincher 8.2 turbo diesel. I had a fleet which had a number of trucks with that engine. Blown head gaskets were a very normal occurrence because of the basic design of that engine. Most engines have at least five head bolts around each cylinder, the 8.2 has only four and they do not provide sufficient clamping pressure in a turbo charged situation. The manufacturer installed larger head bolts in an attempt to resolve the blown head gasket problem but it was insufficient, the problem persisted. Our non-turbo 8.2's did not experience the same problems. And yes, it/they are a bit underpowered depending on the load they are asked to carry.
