2 mountainbikes and a dirt bike on the back of RV possible?

Hi

I have a question of space.
Do you think it is possible to hang 2 mountain bikes on the ladder of the RV (with a ladder rack) and have a dirt bike or scooter on a ramp (like this http://www.amazon.com/Motorcycle-Dirt-Carrier-Trailer-Hauler/dp/B003BWD0AG/ )
Or will the space be too tight?
Anyone seen that ever?

Our RV is a Fleetwood Fiesta

  • I have 2 mountain bikes and a Honda 700 on the back of my 2006 Holiday Rambler. I mounted the bikes on a ladder rack as high as possible( I put on the ladder rack standing on the motorcycle carrier) I also took the front tires off the bikes to allow enough clearance. The bikes don't touch the motorcycle. The only drawback is the motorcycle has to be off to use the bikes or accidents happen(don't stand on the motorcycle seat)

I am wondering that too. I to have a Fiesta 08 no bumper and I want something on the hitch between the MH and the toad

My concern was more like, will the scooter fit on it if I already have 2 bikes on the ladder - like on this picture

  • We were going to haul a scooter like that but after installed, the handlebars were hitting against the fiberglass rear cap and we have no bumper like you do, which holds it out futher away from the cap. I would think with the bumper it would hold it so any pressure from the handlebars would be absorbed by the spare tire.
  • My VersaHaul scooter/motorcycle carrier has a 2" receiver that could take a conventional bike rack. I tow a car behind my scooter rack so a bike carrier is not a issue. They are a bit more pricey though. They have several models: http://versahaul.com/
