2006 Bounder 37U Carfax

We looked at a 2006 Fleetwood Bounder yesterday that is being sold by owner. Very nice Cat powered diesel motorhome with almost every option. But the owners stated they were traveling in Missouri and the driver front brake started dragging and they saw smoke, pulled over, and as the got to the back the tire was on fire so they quickly unhooked and pulled the Bounder ahead as a bystander tried to put out the fire on the jeep. Problem is the police report signaled carfax the motorhome was involved in a fire. I think would be buyers are not getting financing because of this ding. Anything the owners can do to fix this? If the RV was damaged i sure couldn't find it and it happened in 2017 on an 11 year old coach and it would have been easy to see the repairs I feel. Can the owners fix the carfax by producing a police report? Anybody ever see this?
  • Car fax is not as good as they make it out to be! CarFax should only be used and was only conceived to alert a buyer to an issue. It was never meant to devalue a car. It has become nothing more than a gimmick that is more and more reporting wrong issues.

Technically it WAS in involved in a fire.. So ...

But a Tire FIre is not like a house fire. and Even house fires can be fixed.
