The 5000 lb rating came later when they apparently upgraded/uprated the frame extensions. With a fully laden RV at 11,000 lbs, on only has 4,000 lbs left to work with before hitting the max combined weight so the 5000 lbs isn't worth as much as one would initially think.

We have a 2008 navion 24j diesel. It did not come with swivel seats. I just installed one on the passenger side. Makes a big difference. $200 plus shipping from discount RV. Tows 3500lbs.
