We had done a lot of research, and were leaning towards the Liberty, but Price was a concern. Then the local Jeep ran an ad for the Patriot. And it was 5-speed manual. Never even considered a 5-speed. After research - PERFECT! Perfect price too.
I can tow it 4-down, put the stick in neutral, and release the break. While I am not sure of the exact weight, the Patriot is lighter than the Liberty by a few thousand Lbs. That was a consideration as well.
DW needs an auto trans. We might get back over this weekend, but her mom took a turn for the worse and I found out yesterday I have pneumonia. Maybe by the weekend things will look better. They dropped the price yesterday to $14.4k. I think it will go fast. My planets aren't aligning. They seldom do.
