Let me throw in my 2cts on cap leaks. I have an 04 Itasca Spirit (Winnebago) which has the cap window. Just this summer it started to leak enough for water to get in on the passenger side of the cap bed. DW noticed it so I took it to our local service center. They said there was a gasket behind the window that could be replaced but once they had the window out the gasket was found to be a permanent part of the cap and to replace it would have called for cutting around the opening. Naturally I wasn't going to allow any "remodeling" so I had them replace the window and thoroughly reseal everything. Took a trip then washed it and NO LEAKS. I wish you luck with yours.
