2014 Sunseeker 3170DS not charging?

2014 Sunseeker 3170DS plugged into shore power, while in storage - but the batteries are not charging.

As a result I cannot get the slides to move out - as there is some obviously some issue with power from the converter.

When this happened before I opened the power conversion panel and found the on-board (power board) reset had been tripped. I pushed the rest button - and we were good.

This time the reset button is not doing anything....all visible fuses are good.

Any thoughts anyone? please....thanx!
  • Mine doesn't charge the batteries with the battery switch off. The converter will still power the 12 system when plugged into shore power or genny is running. You may want to check to see if you are correct about charging the batteries with switch off.
  • I had the batteries tested.....and they are bad. Swapping out.
    Thanx for the help!
  • I'd re-start the thread in the Tech Issues forum.
Can you explain how you are determining "not charging"?
It's possible, even likely, that the batteries have gone bad.
  • Thank you for the suggestions.

I have the battery switch off, but with it plugged in should continue to charge the batteries.

I was able to test the power output at the converter - and at the batteries....all correct. Now I am very perplexed...?
  • Check at the converter for proper voltage. If you have it on the terminal strips, check at the battery. If you don't have it at the battery, then it's either the positive or negative wire from the converter to the battery. Identify both, and check for tightness at each end. My problem was a loose heavy negative wire screwed into the negative terminal strip. When I wiggled the wire, the lights suddenly got bright so I found it easily. The screw took two full turns to make it tight.
