2015 Itasca Sunstar 27n

The jacks down problem is a common problem with lippert jack system.

My Sunstar 30T jacks show a jack down any time the coach has set for a few days. It's caused by a leak-down of pressure. If it's only set in a CG for a few days simply hitting retract again may fix it. It's such a common problem that there is an instruction in the manual on how to reset it. Don't have my manual at hand now but you hold "retract" and one other button for several seconds.

Leaks that get to a rail can go a long way. On a Skinnie Winnie View I had the fuel pump filter was not tight and leaked. The pump was in the rear (in a hidden compartment) and the water leaked at the steps near the front. Pulled a lot of panels before I found it.

I chased a front leak on my Itasca Horizon for a while. Replaced front cap to roof seal, checked lights etc. Eventually I found it was the upper windshield seal. Urethane type seal that apparently gave way. Due to a trip to AK and a broken windshield I took it to Winnebago for replacement in case there was corrosion in the channel. All good now and dry as a bone.

Here's an update. After getting the coach back and being assured it was sealed it leaked again. Water ran down the same spot over the drivers window and dripped on the dash. Exasperated I climbed up on the roof and aggressively poked and prodded every seal I could find. The seal for the skylight over the shower moved and water squirted out from underneath it when I pressed it down even though it looked fine and water had never dripped in the bathroom area. A call to Winnebago revealed that the seal was close to the edge and a rail runs down the entire length of both sides of the coach. Even though the shower skylight is towards the rear of the coach the water can run the rail up to front and drip on the dash. The dealer re-seated and resealed the skylight and Winnebago picked up the tab even though the coach is out of warranty (slightly). Hopefully, this will do it. I guess the lesson is that even though the seals look like new they may not have adhered to the roof properly in the first place.

I also have a 2015 27N, The bottom of the windshield was missing the sealant. The whole window had to be reset. Possible area to look at

These are the lights I used. They are sealed and waterproof so if they sit in water, it won't hurt the connections or leak, as long as the base and wire penetrations are sealed. Mine were set in a bed of urethane caulking. 12 LED sealed electronics clearance lights
Be sure that you get the ones with TWO wire input.

On this coach the clearance lights are recessed so there is an area where water pools around them.

That would never have occurred to me. I'll discuss it with the dealer. Thanks for that.

I had problems with the clearance lights leaking from the INSIDE. Even tho the base was sealed around the edges, water would get under the lens and leak in to the coach.
I switched to SEALED LED clearance lights, of the same size, and that solved the problem. These lights are primarily used on boat trailers and do not have a removable lens to leak. Once the base is sealed, problem was solved and they have now lasted for several years. The plus is that they are also brighter than the original incandescent bulb clearance lights.

I should have also added that the clearance lights were sealed some time back. I wonder about a hair line crack in the fiberglass or something like that. A lot of testing and sealing has been done but the leak seems to be getting worse.
