2015 Thor Vegas, No 12 volts ???

Hi all. After being in storage down here in Miami, Fl. for the last 6 weeks, ran the generator for 2 hours excercize. It was daylight when I started it but dark when I shut it down Having turned on the lights while it was running. When I shut the genny down I lost all 12 volt lights. Plugged into house and all is fine again. Unplug and No 12 volts again. The storage switch is ON and I can hear the relay throw when I turn it on & off as normal. Checked fuses. Any ideas? :?
  • Think that is the battery disconnect I described. If you push it again it will likely shut off power from batteries to your rigs 12 volt needs. Glad you got it fixed. Seems like we never learn every trick these rigs have built into them until we are ready to sell them.
  • Problem solved. In the outside compartment under the drivers side window is an electrical box. In that box, on the bottom left of the circuit board is a relay about 1.5 X 1 X .5 inches with a black button on the side. Pushed the button resets relay.
  • Or as we found out on our 40' 5er during a power outage the 12 volt disconnect had been flipped, thus no lights during the outage. Flipped the switch in the pass through cargo bay and we had the house battery bank back on line to the RV. Worth a looksee. Just an idea!
  • I agree with ScottG... we need to know what the standing voltage of the battery is... it could be something as simple as a bit of corrosion on a feed wire that is preventing juice from leaving the battery, or an overlooked switch or fuse at the battery...
