I am using two 30 amp breakers that are hooked together as one presently in the breaker box that used to go to a stove that we no longer have. I bought a 30 amp RV box at Lowes. So my present wiring is the top 30 amp breaker in the box has one wire going to one side of the new 30 amp receptacle. The bottom 30 amp breaker is wired going to the other side of the new 30 amp receptacle. That is why I figured it is 220 volts. Is this wired right for a mh?
You have it wired for 240V.........which is for a welding machine, a electric dryer, a air compressor
BUT IT IS NOT FOR A Motorhome/RV
MH/RV use 120V...........even one with 50A
1 HOT (Black) feeds 1/2 of main breaker panel
1 HOT (Red) feeds other 1/2 of main breaker panel
Your OLD 30A was wired with 2 HOTS (1 HOT from each 30A breaker) for 240V Service to whatever.
Your NEW 30A should only use 1 30A breaker with 1 HOT, 1 Neutral (White) and 1 Ground.
And the 30A Receptacle should be an RV Receptacle
