theyre cheap for a reason. Had a friend using one, and the power went off and drained the battery on his car w/ the HF "charger" connected.
I had that happen as well - bshpilotExplorer

Hook up the negative lead of the 12 volt battery tender to the "to ground lead" from the batteries and connect the positive lead of the 12 volt battery tender to the "12 volts out" lead from the batteries. You will be maintaining all four batteries.
My battery tender can maintain more than one battery. Check to make sure your battery tender can maintain multiple batteries.
Safe travels.
JD - nightshiftExplorerBattery Systems recommended this for my Trojan 6 volts. Works well.

A fully charged battery cannot freeze in temperatures found on earth.
A discharged battery can freeze, because the electrolyte has basically turned to water.
That is half true.. A fully charged battery is good to Minus Forty Something but long about Minus 50.. IT will be frozen.. OR so I am told.. You will not likely ever freeze a fully charged battery in 49 of our great states but Alaska.. It can happen. - OffroadrExplorer

I actually own a couple of those, not happy with them. Had one boil the acid out of my battery onto the floor with my polaris sportsman.

Do you need to spread the positive and negative to opposite sides of the battery chain or can it connect to one 6v ? - OffroadrExplorer

Consider the following statement, Then I will explain it, and then I will answer your question:
1: There are NO SIX VOLT BATTERIES in RV, only 12 volts.
2: For ease of handling and some other reasons (Cost) some of those 12 volt batteries are 2-piece units (Each piece is six volt).
3: Yes
Just hook the six volt pairs in series, as they are when in use, and you have an instant 12 volt battery, Every auto store from here to there and back again including Batteries Plus stores and many department stores sells 12 volt battery tenders.
And your 12 volt bat-t-ery will work just fine with one (That is a 12 volt battery split into two pieces with a jumper cable in the middle)
Thats almost comical, yes there are 6 volt batteries, they may be wired to 12v but they are most certainly 6v.
Now I assumed I had 2 choices, 1) unhook them and run them as 6v or see if it was possible to run a 12v across all 4
