800 hours on an 1987 Onan genset. Rebuild engine?

My 1987 Onan 6700 watt/50amp genset shows just shy of 800 hours use. Nothing's wrong with it so far, just wondering how many hours of use I can expect, before it's going to need a engine rebuild. I kn...

I have an Onan 8000 Quiet Diesel with over 2000 hours on it. So far, just routine maintenance iaw the service manual. No need for a rebuild at only 800 hours. The one thing I would suggest to you is to take a good look at all the hoses. If they are more than 6 or 7 years old, it might be time to change them out with fresh rubber. Good Luck!
