93 Cobra Monterey 32'

Question

new to group, new to RV world. I just inherited a 93 Cobra and everything works when plugged in to 30 amp outlet but when i run generator, nothing works such as fridge or ac. there are 2 switches under the bed that has park and generator and there is a slide that only allows one switch to be on at the same time but when i try it both ways, nothing works still. what am i missing. i am trying to run ac while we are driving.

The switches are designed so as to not allow the genset to backfeed into the shorepower power source.
Power from genset goes into one switch and shorepower into the other. The outputs of the switches should be tied together (jumpered) to send power to the 120 volt distribution panel.
Start by testing each input Use a meter to check for shore power. If present, disconnect shore power cord from source. Start genset and check for power on other switch.
Have you checked circuit breaker on the genset?

Check to see if the breaker at the generator isn't tripped.
