AC foam filter?

I need to change the foam filter for the AC units. The inlet filter is foam and is mounted in the ceiling. Where do I get replacement filters/foam. Thanks
Brian
  • my dealer carry's them on the shelf. just a few dollars, if that.
  • I've been meaning to post this too. Are there any options that improve filtering? Like a pleated filter?

You can also find foam filter material at lowes or Home Depot and cut to fit.

    Yep, it is very easy
  • Thanks for the info, I just took mine down, and they are in good condition....so I just washed them. They're outside drying right now. Thanks again.

    YEP......

Bought a large bag with enough material to cut out filters to last several years.

Pull dirty one out......put clean one in.
Wash dirty and let dry...when they stretch then just throw them away.

  • I just bought new ones. The easiest way is simply to Google your make of A/C. For me, I Googled "Dometic A/C Filters" or "Dometic RV A/C". Do that and your search should turn up the filters. Ended up getting mine through Dyers RV Parts & Accessories (www.dyersonline.com). Like the previous poster said, though, if yours are still in good shape, just wash in soap and water. Mine were worn out and torn and no longer really usable.
  • I've just washed them with dish soap and water. Works well.
