The compressor will be just fine.assuming it was fine before system was shut down.Heck I buy used compressors from the wreckers and change out bad ones all the time over the years and have never had a problem other than the odd front seal leak/seepage.If its minor u usually just add redteck seal sealer when recharging.I do this as precaustion all the time
I have never seen a compressor destroyed by acid as u say happens?
