Adjusting Power Gear slide, 2000, Damon

I have a 2000, Damon Intruder. The large LR slide has a gap on the bottom edge, quarter inch
Any advice on how to adjust it, Power Gear electric.

Thanks in advance,
Chuck
  • This may help

    powergear slide out pdf

I found it in the fleetwood documents on the Powergear site, but I'd bet it is similar to what you have on your Damon.

Good luck and let us know if you're successful at adjusting it. This document helped me adjust my Holiday Rambler slide.

Thought I answered this.. If it is a power gear Rack and Pinion slide, and I suspect it is, then the slide is designed so the top hits the stop before the bottom does, both in and out the top hits first,, This is by design to insure a proper seal at the top of the slide.

To fix.. Just hit the IN button a second time for about a second.
  • Go to POWERGEARUS.com Lots of downloadable information and maybe a person at the end of the 1-800 number.

I've never adjusted a slide, but I have rebuilt several leveling legs and motor/gear assemblies. I have used Power Gears web site for ALL information. If you have an assembly/part number for you slide you may want to check out their web site. I've found there manuals to be exceptional when it came to repairing their products on my own.
