Any Cummins N14 Experts Here?

I am looking for a Cummins Mechanical STC N14 mechanic. Most have retired by now. My mechanic is stumped and would like to pick your brain about the issue we are having with it. Newer mechanics have not seen many of these motors.

Pm me or post here. Many thanks in advance!
  • Ask your question. I worked on Mechanical Cummins 400s and 350s and CAT 500 of my own. If it's a pump question tho might be better to go on a Cummins forum as they are the same pump and very delicate to work on.
  • Thank you for the reply. It would be best to have my mechanic talk with you over the phone if you can PM me a number/time to call.

The pump has just been rebuilt by a local firm in the business. It did not clear up the problem. It has to do with the STC and some grey smoke that clears up and then comes back when it is running.

He has some pressure gauges on oil lines and on the fuel line taking pressure readings when running. He would be able to tell you better about what he has all checked out then I can and what all the particulars are. He has a heavy diesel shop and the manuals for the motor but sometimes it is good to talk with someone with experience with these older motors. This problem is kicking his butt.

    Thanks in advance!

    Thank you
