Tillamook cheese factory is fun, good cheese and ice cream.
Sea lions cave just north of Florence is nice also.
Where are you going to stay in Florence...we were just there two weeks ago. You may want to have reservations as the sand dunes are near and the town is packed this time of the year.
Chen's Chinese food in Florence is the BEST! I eat there everytime we go to Florence. - mockturtleExplorer IIFort Stevens State Park, near Astoria, is a very nice, very large park--and popular. There are several other state parks in the stretch between Astoria and Florence. All very busy through September. A few Siuslaw NF campgrounds, as well, along 101. Just check in early in the day.
