For a while steps go out and "bump" 3 or 4 times and stop and come in the same way. Now they come out the same way but when the go in the still "bump" but then come about half way down and stop. Any ideas? Thanks, Bob Turner Bradenton FL (2006 Admiral se Class A)

You have a bad motor. Current company that purchased SCS/Frigette is LCI. LCI steps are the same as the SCS. Doug

Check to see if the steps or linkage is bent, we had a simular problem and it turned out to be bent on the under side of steps. Step linkage got bent while pulling into CS

My advice is free but I do consider donations

SCS steps complete their cycle (in and out) when the controller senses a rise in voltage and reverses itself which should occur at the end of the step travel.
In your case, I would first inspect for tightness due to lack of lubrication and/or binding in some way. Clean and lube everything before replacing motor or controller.
