On our 1999 v-10, we averaged 8.2 over the 100,000 miles we had it. It was a 37' Pace Arrow and we pulled either a tracker or a 20' enclosed trailer whenever we traveled. I kept the speed on the interstates at 62 mph. That was the sweat spot according to my scan gauge while not impeding traffic too much. If I went faster, the mpg dropped dramatically.
