As a 2013 Navion iQG (with 2 slides) I am bias towards the Skinnie Winnie. We love the slide in the back which gives us a walk around queen bed. I am very pleased with the quality. I owned a sprinter based 2005 B and love the extra room and driving our Navion with the dualies is excellent.

Also, when I was a member of the RV.Net B group, they were very clear that a "B+" was a "C"!

Yes Phoenix is a top tier class C (B+) maker. Their Ford models are narrower and shorter in height than the usual class C out there. Definitely a quality that we'd look for in the future if & when.....

Yes, Phoenix USA offers two models on the V6 diesel Sprinter chassis, both with slide out options. You work directly with the factory to get exactly what you want. You are treated just as well after you take your rig home as when you were handing them your payment. Great customer service.

Phoenix Cruiser has a more upscale construction detail than many others. They only offer a few on Sprinter, but you might find one you like.
Weight is a factor in nearly all RV's, and the Sprinter has less carry capacity than most other chassis. MB is very strict about upfits from what I understand. Put all that together and you get ultra-light construction.

All the V6 diesels are Sprinters, 2007 on up called the NCV3 chassis. The NCV3 is a vast improvement over the T1N 2002-2006 Sprinter, especially in construction and rust prevention, (however the NCV3 has way more engine emission related issues).

The "cheap" construction as you call it is because of the weight restrictions the Sprinter chassis has to have. 11030lb GVW maximum with the NCV3 chassis, even less with the T1N.

In my RVing experience over the last 30+ years, Fleetwood is nowhere near the quality construction that the Winnies are.

I don't know about the older ones but so far I have not had that feeling with my Winnebago View Profile. I don't find it cheaply built. I am having trouble with the Heki Skylight but that is not a Winnebago thing. Dealer has a new one on order to replace mine that was bad right off the bat. Second time I opened it the unit went south on me.

What I'm finding is that the overall build on ours is pretty good.
