Did they tell you what the OBD codes were showing? Some aut parts stores will read codes for you.
Could be bad coil packs if that is code.
Bad gas will not set a code.
Get some fuel system cleaner such as Lucas or Chevron Techrolene(sp). Put enough in for your size of fuel tank. I would overdose somewhat for first time, but don't get carried away.
