Bedroom closet pole

This may by far be the stupidest question ever but here goes.....

I would like to know where one can purchase the closet pole covers that look alot like small sewer hose. By that I mean this pole cover has ridges so that hangers fit between the ridges and thus not slide around. I've checked camping world with no luck.

Any suggestions will really help.

Next question. On the motor home I'm considering it has the standard, less than pricey vents with fans. I would like to get the covers that allow the vents to be open without fear of rain or whatever. There are different kinds on the market but which is best. I'm not interested in the ones that have fancy temp or remote controls. Just want something that will let in the air and keep everything else out. Suggestions?

Thanks so much for all the help.

    Thanks for checking back robatthelake.

I found some hose that was just the right size. It was sump pump hose. Got it at Lowe's. Works great!

Just a little change in the name of what you were looking for and there it was. LOL

Most times we know what we want, we just don't know what to call it.

  • Just checked back! The wire loom that I have seen is available in many places including Auto,Boat, and RV Parts Stores. Also available at many Electrical supply places!

Where does one purchase this wire loom stuff? Does it come in different dimensions?

I would check auto supply stores or Lowes/ Home Depot
  • It is also called wire protector and I would look in electronic stores, maybe office supply stores. I have seen it but do not remember where. Hopefully someone will have a better memory than I.

  • All vents on RVs are 14X14 whether power or not. Fantastic Vent says to not use a cover on their power vent. I have had a cover over my bathroom vent since I got the MH. At a rally we had 13 fans installed in various coaches and one of the fellows who came and helped the installer was a VP for Fantastic at that time. He put the cover back on and said their only concern was that some cut down air flow and people are disappointed then. Getting their lowest cost 3 speed fan has been great. Low speed will pull the door shut, medium will create a draft and High is for emergency use only. We rarely close the cover on that fan. The kitchen one has temp control and rain sensor so that one we don't worry about.
  • You can buy Flexible Wire Loom in many sizes that would slip over Your Closet Rod and provide the grooves that You desire! It comes in several colors.
  • I bought plastic hose for a sump pump that was about the size you need for the closet pole. You could use a chunk of that and I think it would do the trick. On the vent question-they are all fine. Make sure you get one that fits. Power vents have different size than non power.
