My best friend had gone on a 10 day -two week RV trip with his wife , mother and Mother in Law.

They were on the tail end of the trip and tensions were building. They had been telling him what to do for the whole trip. Anyway it was one of those days and for some reason he gets pulled over by the police. The cop walks up to the side door andMy buddy opens the door steps out and starts begging the cop to take him away! "I've been in this RV with my mom, wife and Mother in Law and I can't take it anymore please just take me away! The cop lets him off with a warning and I guess punishment all at once. He had to get back in and drive with the women!

Ha Ha I could just imagine this in my mind!

I don't have a Mother In Law, but I do have a Father In Law. The poor guy never learned how to have fun or enjoy himself. On top of that he is an emotional leach.
He like to let people know all about "his" toy hauler, motorcycle, Kayaks, F-250 King Ranch etc. On top of that he can't enjoy nature and wants to make sure that the birds and neighbors in the campground know he is there.

Sad really...

I allowed a friend and his wife to travel with me in my MH ONCE.

The DW kept putting her bag on the floor along side the bed by the converter. I asked 'twice' for her to move it explaining why.

The second night out I smell wires burning! The DW (and I now am using that term loosely) had put her bag once again on the floor right smack upside the converter blocking the fan. Breaker didn't trip all the way and the wires were on fire. :R

Woke them all up and threw both of them and the dogs out, grabbed the fire extinguisher and shut down the MH to find the cause of the fire.

Instead of killing the lady and ending up in jail I dragged her back in and showed her the label on the door of the converter.

DO NOT BLOCK FAN
Can cause a fire

Safety Labels don't lie.

Soo since then you'd be hard pressed to get an invitation from me to ever travel in my MH. :C

We must be willing to get rid of the life we've planned,
so as to have the life that is waiting for us.

We have camped since we got married with my MIL. Great times. Occasional conflicts, but few and far between. She is a great lady. Love going camping with her. Hopefully many more times while we still can.

My mother in law introduced me to travel trailer camping. God bless her. She's gone now, but she and my father in law gave us their camper to use until we could afford our own. Without it, our two daughters wouldn't have had the opportunity to go trailer camping until they were in their teenage years. Lots of great memories there.

I think this qualifies as a "Best Mother in Law RV Story" even more than all of the nasty ones. And this one is absolutely true.

My mother-in-law use to camp with us occasionally, and then she and her husband purchased their own camper. We use to travel together from time to time, but EVERY single time, midway through the trip it turned into a disaster. Everything had to go my mother-in-laws way, no matter what. By the time we got back home, we were so glad. You'd think we learned our lesson, but a few weeks later we'd try again. I can honestly say, the best part of every trip was the few seconds before starting. Everything after that was down hill! We don't go together any more.

Oh YES - it can happen!!
When Katrina was upon us, I gathered my wife, her sister (with small dog) and my mother and made the action to flee for a few days! Next thing I know, the folks that regulate things (don't get me started!) decided we should be allowed back home 'in a few days'! So - Just me and three (count 'em on on hand - three) lovely ladies and a small dog together in our MoHo for 4 WEEKS!!

Great story. We all know it never happened, but GREAT story. Who would not want to spend precious time with the women in their lives. I know that I would, no matter the outcome. I love my wife. I love my Mom and, while she was alive, I loved my mother-in-law. I would not give up any of those memories for any reason, including a good joke.
What I post is my 2 cents and nothing more. Please don't read anything into my post that's not there. If you disagree, that's OK.
Can't we all just get along?
